The Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) is a medium-sized thrush commonly found in open woodlands, farmlands and orchards east of the Rockies, southern Canada to the Gulf States and southeastern Arizona to Nicaragua.
Adults of the species have a white belly. Adult male Eastern Bluebirds are bright blue on top with a reddish brown throat and breast. Females of the species have duller blue wings and tail with a brownish throat and breast and a grey crown and back.
